Il gruppo nasce a fine 2001 dall'incontro delle esperienze musicali dei D.U.S.K., in cui militava Max come bassista, e degli Atom Pig Neon con Daniele e Claudio, rispettivamente chitarrista e batterista. Si aggiunge poi nel 2003 anche Luca, altro chitarrista degli A.P.N. Per quanto tendenzialmente riconducibili a un hardcore evoluto, nei brani del gruppo si possono cogliere eco post-rock e cupe atmosfere care a gruppi come Tool e A Perfect Circle, Deftones e Dredg. La musica dei NORMA, potente e aggressiva ma con grandi aperture emotive, è inoltre arricchita da testi lirici e introspettivi, cantati in inglese per scelta melodica. I D.U.S.K., dal '93 al 2000, hanno rappresentato egregiamente una realtà hardcore-punk romana in tutta Italia. Nel loro percorso musicale hanno realizzato quattro demo e partecipato alla compilation BluBus "We bastard motherfuckers". Punta d'orgoglio, il loro split album con gli Impact. Gli Atom Pig Neon sono stati una band post-rock molto seguita per il loro stile piuttosto originale, considerando che in quegli anni la scena non era ancora inflazionata di epigoni degli Slint, dei June Of '44 o dei Tortoise, per quanto la scena "alternativa" romana di quegli anni ('95-2000) fosse comunque florida. All'attivo, due demo e due cd autoprodotti, un brano su "Tracce" della Wallace Records di Mirko Spino e un altro sulla compilation "Alien in Roma 2", che sta ancora aspettando di vedere la luce.

Why We Fight (2005 film)

Why We Fight is a documentary film directed by Eugene Jarecki that won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. The documentary was first released on January 17, 2005, exactly 44 years after Dwight D. Eisenhower's farewell address. It received a limited theatrical release on January 20, 2005. It was released on DVD to the home video market on June 27, 2005 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, with a MPAA rating of PG-13.

The documentary is named after the World War II-era propaganda newsreels titled "Why We Fight," which had been commissioned by the United States.
